Gautam Singh, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Gautam is a co-founder of the firm and, in addition to his overall responsibilities, manages business development in Europe and Asia-Pacific. He has more than 20 years of management consulting, venture capital and industry experience in Europe and the US. Prior roles include Corven Partners in London, A.T Kearney in London, as well as short stints at Mitsubishi Motors in India and Cummins Engines in the US. Gautam has an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, USA and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay, India.

Omer Abdullah, Co-Founder and Managing Director

Omer is a co-founder of the firm and leads TSC’s business across The Americas. He also manages the firm’s Marketing activities globally. He has more than 20 years of management consulting, global corporate and industry experience across North America, Europe and Asia. Prior roles include A.T. Kearney (North America), Warner Lambert (USA) and The Perrier Group (Asia-Pacific). Omer has an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, USA and a BBA from the University of East Asia.

Sameer Walia, Co-Founder and Managing Director

Sameer is a co-founder of the firm and manages all operations for the company globally. He has 20 years of strategy consulting, securities trading, accounting and industry experience in India. Prior roles include Accenture's Strategy Consulting Practice and Brisk Securities. Sameer is a rank holder from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with an undergraduate Business degree from the University of Delhi.

John Hewett

John founded Smedvig Capital in 1996 with Peter Smedvig where he has been Chief Executive since its inception. Since that time he has been instrumental in the financing and development of more than 25 companies at all stages from start-up through to flotation.

Prior to Smedvig, John was at Bain & Company working on a range of strategic and operational issues in a variety of sectors including retail, leisure and financial services. He began his career in investment banking spending six years in equity capital markets for Hill Samuel and later NatWest markets where he was an assistant director involved in all elements of equity and equity related financings. He has an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

He is also currently a board member of SelStor AB, Ocean Outdoor, SUSO Drinks, Exchange Group and Blinkpoint, and has previously been a director ITIS Holdings plc, Blueheath plc and Streetcar, amongst others.

Jordan Mayo

Jordan is a Managing Director at Smedvig Capital which he joined in 2005 from Bain & Company where he worked on major buyouts with leading private equity funds as well as corporate strategy projects for clients in the business services, information technology and manufacturing industries in London and New York.

Prior to joining Bain, he was co-founder of revise.it, an online education business. Jordan has a first class honours degree in Economics and Management from Oxford University.

He is also currently a board member of Ocean Outdoor, My Home Move and SUSO Drinks.
