Senior Analyst – Spend Analytics

Roles and responsibilities

  • Being a part of the team working on various spend analysis projects aiding strategic decision making for Fortune 500 / FTSE 100 companies, Blue Chip Consulting Firms and Global Financial Services companies
  • Understanding client objectives, and working with the PL to understand, and/or aid the designing of analytical solutions
  • Collecting/Organizing/Preparing/Managing data for analysis, and conducting quality checks
  • Being able to use tools such as VBA/Python/R/Excel to aid machine learning and increase automation, in order to support various steps involved in delivering a robust spend analysis solution
  • Conduct sanity and logical checks on data and understanding business models of various public, private and not-for-profit companies, by conducting exhaustive  research on company websites and other sources of company specific information
  • Providing recommendations to clients via right category sourcing strategies, in order  to achieve spend savings
  • Making straightforward decisions basis pre-defined options using clear criteria/procedures
  • Developing complete sections of final client reports in PowerPoint; identifying trends and evaluating insights in terms of logic and reasoning, and succinctly present them in terms of an executive summary/taglines
  • Discussing queries/certain sections of deliverable reports over client calls or video conferences
