LONDON/NEW DELHI – 16 March 2020: Omer Abdullah, Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Smart Cube – a global provider of research and analytics solutions – has been named a supply chain ‘Provider Pro to Know’ by leading industry publication, Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

The Pros to Know Awards recognise supply chain executives that are leading initiatives to help prepare organisations’ supply chains for the significant challenges of today’s business climate. Supply & Demand Chain Executive received more than 500 entries for the 2020 Awards, from which it selected 200 Provider Pros to Know – individuals from software firms and service providers, consultancies or academia, who helped their supply chain clients prepare to meet these challenges.

Omer is responsible for deploying The Smart Cube’s procurement and supply chain solutions to help leading Life Sciences, Industrial, CPG and Retail companies drive tangible business benefits.

Through actionable, data-driven insights, Omer and his team enable clients to deliver savings across the supply chain, revenue growth through effective supplier management and supplier-enabled innovation, and deeper partnerships with business stakeholders. Recent successful outcomes include:

  1. Working with a leading industrial company to execute network optimisation across its US supply chain, helped achieve $43 million increase in EBITDA via reduction in storage and transportation costs
  2. For one of the world’s largest networks of automotive service providers, implemented supply chain inventory optimisation and forecasting, which enabled client savings of $7 million in just two product categories
  3. One of the top-10 global biopharma businesses was facing excessive transport spend across its US supply chain; leveraging data analytics identified annual cost saving opportunities of $20 million, as well as a 25bps reduction in the cost-to-serve ratio and a 100bps improvement in on-time shipments
  4.
