Ep 21 Inside Procurement: Procurement and Private Equity – Interview with Brian Slobodow

In this episode, we talk to Brian Slobodow who shares his unique perspective on various business issues, particularly those concerning the procurement and supply chain worlds.

Brian‘s professional background is one that combines management consulting, corporate and private equity worlds. His credentials encompass stints at AT Kearney and J&J, as well as senior-level positions across a host of Golden Gate Capital’s portfolio companies. He is currently the Operating Executive for Golden Gate Capital.

In this podcast, Omer Abdullah talks to Brian about how Private Equity (PE) firms can unlock the value of procurement to meet its end goals. PE’s unique environment calls for a particular set of capabilities that procurement practitioners should possess, in addition to the traditional procurement-centric skills. So the podcast explores the mindset procurement professionals in a PE-run company need to have, and further discusses some practical skills they should bring to the table.
